The story behind the spinner
WHIRL is a bold, no-fuss decision wheel built for the moments when a group can't agree, a name needs drawing, or a choice just needs to be taken out of your hands. Type in your options, give it a spin, and let momentum settle it — fair, fast, and a little bit theatrical.
Anywhere a random pick beats an argument. Teachers use it to call on students, teams use it to assign chores or pick a lunch spot, streamers use it to run giveaways, and families use it to decide who does the dishes. If it can be written on a line, the wheel can choose it.
No sign-ups, no downloads, no clutter. WHIRL is a single self-contained page that runs entirely in your browser, so it loads instantly and works the same on a phone, a laptop, or a projector in front of a room.

By using WHIRL (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Service. We've kept them short and plain on purpose.
WHIRL is a free tool that spins a wheel to make a random selection from a list you provide. You may use it for personal, educational, and commercial purposes such as classroom activities, team decisions, and giveaways.
WHIRL uses your browser's random number generator to choose a result. Each outcome is independent and unpredictable, but the Service is provided for casual and informational purposes and is not certified for regulated raffles, official prize draws, or any use that legally requires an audited randomness source.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from your use of the Service or from any decision made using a spin result. You use WHIRL at your own discretion and risk.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Short version: WHIRL runs entirely in your browser and doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no servers storing your entries, and no tracking.
Nothing. The names and options you type into the wheel stay on your device, held in your browser's memory only for as long as the page is open. We never transmit, store, or see them.
When you close or refresh the page, the entries you added are gone — they aren't saved anywhere. If you want to keep a list, copy it out of the entries box yourself before leaving.
The optional tick sound is generated on the fly by your browser's audio engine. It uses no microphone, records nothing, and can be switched off with the toggle in the panel.
WHIRL is safe for use in classrooms and at home. Since it collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly gather data from children or adults alike.
If this policy ever changes, the updated date at the top will change with it.
